We are pleased to share an update on our recently completed works at Canham Turner, University of Hull, where we worked closely with both the university and the Canham Turner management team to ensure the timely reopening of the main kitchen.
Delivering a Seamless Kitchen Refurbishment
This project required careful coordination to meet strict programme deadlines while ensuring minimal disruption to the university’s operations. Our scope of work included:
Removal of commercial kitchen appliances to allow for refurbishment work to begin.
Uplifting and removing existing floor coverings in preparation for new flooring.
Sub-floor preparation to ensure a stable and durable base.
Installation of replacement flooring suited to a high-traffic commercial kitchen environment.
Reinstatement of all commercial kitchen appliances to restore full functionality.
Addressing Additional Challenges
During the refurbishment, our team identified problematic pipework that required removal. Despite this additional scope, we successfully completed the works within the pre-determined programme duration, ensuring the kitchen was ready for reopening on schedule.
Successful Completion and Next Steps
The project was delivered efficiently, with a strong focus on quality and compliance, enabling the University of Hull to resume full kitchen operations as planned. We are proud to have played a role in supporting the university’s facilities and look forward to future collaborations.
