Our work at Cygnet Healthcare in Hollyhurst, Darlington, is progressing well, with significant advancements both internally and externally. This project involves a range of structural modifications and new construction to enhance the facility.
Internal Works: Installing Underground Drainage
Internally, our team is making good progress on essential alterations. A key part of this phase is the excavation of existing concrete and timber floors to allow for the installation of underground drainage. Given the complexity of working within an operational healthcare facility, careful planning and execution are paramount. The team is taking all necessary precautions to ensure minimal disruption while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
External Progress: Groundworks and Scaffold Installation
Externally, despite a period of freezing temperatures, groundworks have been successfully completed. This includes site preparation, excavation, and foundation work, ensuring a solid base for the next phase of construction.
With the groundwork now finished, scaffolding has been erected in preparation for the installation of a detached timber frame dwelling. This structure will form a key part of the development and is being carefully coordinated to align with the wider project timeline.
Next Steps
As we move forward, the focus will shift towards the installation of the timber frame, followed by structural and finishing works. The project remains on schedule, and our team continues to work efficiently to deliver a high-quality build that meets the specific needs of the healthcare sector.
We look forward to sharing further updates as the project progresses.
